Driving between Twin Bridges and Whitehall Montana Thursday morning January 4th 2007. At 6:12 am saw a comet/meteorite/fireball moving south slowly in the sky. It was very big and took about 60-90 seconds to move across about 5 degrees f the night sky. It flew horizontal with the horizon burning a yellow orange color until finally descending towards earth and burning up white. I told a friend about it in Bozeman who had a coworker also see it. (two hours away) It took me awhile to figure out if it was a plane or just a huge meteor or something. I'd be interested in who else saw it.
