At first I thought I was just tired and imagined it. While driving on I-35 south (close to downtown KMCO) was a disc like shaped object. It was kinda of blue/white and it was indeed some sort of craft. It was just sitting in the sky/hovering. It then moved a bit to the right/flying, and then stopped and suddenly went vertical. I have never seen an airplane or helicopter make a move like that. It seemed impossible.
It disappeared into the sky after moving very fast vertically. Very very scarey object-it was clearly not manmade that I could tell. What is going on.

The only thing that bothers me about the original sighting and this one is that they keep calling the KC airport KCI! There is no KCI. The airline code for Kansas City, Missouri is MCI. I used to be a travel agent so I have all the airline city codes memorized. I would think a pilot of a major airline would know it's MCI and say so. Same with anyone who lives in the KC area. If someone said KCI to me, I wouldn't know what the hell they were talking about. Yeah, you'd think it would be KCI for Kansas City International but no, it really is and always has been MCI. Airline codes are odd. Like Orlando, Florida. You'd think it would be ORL, but it's actually MCO. Fresno, CA is FAT. Chicago is ORD. Honolulu is HNL but Helena is HLN. That one gets mixed up a lot! There are some very odd ones out there but Kansas City is MCI and any pilot should know that and say that no matter what for credibility's sake at least.
