Former NBA star Baron Davis says he was recently abducted by aliens. From Fran Drescher to John Lennon to William Shatner himself, celebrities who have had close encounters.

Baron Davis–Former New York Knicks star Baron Davis appeared on a recent episode of the podcast The Champs and, rather matter-of-factly, said he’d been abducted by aliens. . . .

Fran Drescher–Fran Drescher, best known for her role as Fran Fine on The Nanny (and, of course, for that nasaly voice), is also vocal about her belief in the paranormal. The actress once told the Huffington Post that in separate encounters, a few years before they met, she and her ex-husband both saw aliens while driving with their fathers. . . .

Sammy Hagar–Over the years, former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar has remained outspoken about his belief in aliens and his personal encounters with them. His 2011 autobiography, Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock, delves into the topic — although he told MTV Hive that he would have liked to discuss it even further. . . .

Jimmy Carter–Former President Jimmy Carter reported that he saw a UFO in Leary, Georgia, in 1969. As Yahoo reports, Carter shared details of the experience four years after the fact with the International UFO Bureau in Oklahoma City. . . .

Olivia Newton-John–Grammy-winning singer and actress Olivia Newton-John has been intrigued by the paranormal ever since she spotted an unidentified flying object when she was 15, she told the Sun in 2009. The bright silver object she saw flying across the sky sparked a lifelong interest in extra-terrestrials — and now, she doesn’t think she’s alone in her belief of alien visitors. . . .

John Lennon–Imagine all the people … and all the aliens, too? In 2004, magician Uri Geller told the story of his friend John Lennon’s encounter with extra-terrestrials. It happened one night after a blazing light jolted him awake while sleeping in bed. . . .

Robbie Williams–In 2006, best-selling English singer Robbie Williams took a hiatus from his career in entertainment to explore the world of UFOs and extra-terrestrial life. He and journalist Jon Ronson headed into the Nevada desert to meet UFO abductees and gather their own evidence. . . .

Miyuki Hatoyama–Former Japanese First Lady Miyuki Hatoyama might be a notable figure across the globe, but she also believes in life far beyond the boundaries of Earth. In a 2008 book titled Very Strange Things I’ve Encountered, Hatoyama wrote, “While my body was asleep, I think my soul rode on a triangular-shaped UFO and went to Venus. . . .

Dennis Kucinich–In a 2007 presidential debate, NBC’s Tim Russert cited a passage from Shirley MacLaine’s book, in which the actress wrote that candidate Dennis Kucinich had seen a UFO from her home in Washington state. The former Ohio representative confirmed that he had indeed spotted an unidentified flying object, and compared his experience to Jimmy Carter’s. . . .

William Shatner–William Shatner, the beloved Canadian actor known for playing Star Trek‘s Captain Kirk, has been especially vocal about his belief in all things paranormal. In a 2010 interview with the Montreal Gazette (not currently available online), he said, “There is no doubt that there is life out there; the mathematics of it lead you to that absolute conclusion. . . .
