THE last thing you expect to see while touring New Zealand's islands is UFOs.
An Australian television crew filmed two unidentified flying objects the other day.
The crew of Colour In Your Life are touring the country, filming New Zealand artists for its Channel 74 Sunday night show.
On April 3 2014, CIYL Producer/Presenter Graeme Stevenson and Director Sophia Stacey were shooting the opening sequence of the series in Queenstown New Zealand unaware that they were capturing something extremely unusual.
In the past week, when editing of the episode was complete Graeme noticed something strange in a wide shot - two objects travelling from left to right of the screen at great speed. When the images were slowed to a frame by frame sequence you could see the shapes emerge from the trees and move across the sky, eventually disappearing.
"From the trees to where I was on the bike is about a half a kilometer , if you look at the speed in real time that means that if it were birds they would have accelerated to about 4,000 kilometers an hour in one second," Colour in Your Life crew posted on Facebook earlier today.
"The fastest bird in the world is the Peregrine falcon which reaches speeds of 200 MPH, in a dive. You tell me guys and we do not have jets that move that quickly any where on the Planet."
