I have visited A-51 in '91 when you could get much closer to the base. We were surveiled by the guards during our all night visit in the snow. Early in the morning we were visited by deputy Lamero, a nice guy responding to a complaint that some people were attempting to penetrate the base, (that would be a bad idea). It became obvious to the deputy when he could not find any tracks in the snow anywhere near the fence.
ReplyDeleteI have never met Glen, but know others familiar with the area like Goerge Knapp. He and I agree that security is very important near our "special" military instalations. I am OK with this kind of security measure, but I could not listen to Glen's full presentation, so maybe I missed something.

Are you saying that you feel it's OK for the powers-that-be (probably the Air Force) to spy on Americans under the guise of a weather station posted on public lands?
