FALLS CHURCH, Va. (WPVI) -- Dozens of witnesses spotted a white-hot fireball as it streaked across the skies of the Northeastern United States.
The meteor could be seen Saturday night from Washington D.C. to Ohio.
Reports of the meteor began around 6:17 p.m. as it flashed into view over the Northeast U.S., being seen from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Michigan and Ontario, Canada, according to tweets.
Alex Salvador was behind the wheel in Falls Church, Virginia, traveling westbound when he spotted it.

saw this in Fairless Hills Pa outside Philadelphia going south on route 1 it was directly overhead and about a 1/4 size of the moon visually , a beautiful emerald green color. It streaked across the sky going southward, it then went dark for a millisecond appeared again and then seemed to dissipate
